HRT Radio is currently offering an internship program. If you are passionate about radio broadcasting and have experience in journalism, we would love to hear from you. Please read the\u00a0<\/a><\/span>guidelines<\/span> for<\/span> HRT Radio’s Internship Program:<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

For undergraduate students pursuing academic credit for the (autumn, spring, or summer) semester, the internship program is an unpaid opportunity. Get valuable hands-on work experience in the radio broadcasting sector.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

INTERN\u00a0WITH HRT<\/strong><\/span>
\nThis course aims to expose students to the various facets of radio broadcast operations. One of the following departments is an option for internship placements:<\/span><\/p>\n

\nContent Creation<\/span>
\nCo-Production<\/span>
\nProgramming<\/span>
\nMusic Scouting<\/span>
\nTraffic\/Marketing<\/span>
\nResearch Specialist<\/span>

Who could benefit from an internship at HRT Radio?<\/strong><\/span>
\n1. Students: Internships are often geared toward students who are studying journalism or broadcasting. An internship at HRT Radio could provide valuable hands-on experience and exposure to the industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Who is qualified to take part?<\/strong><\/span>
\nAccording to the requirements of the colleges\/universities, undergraduate students (Sophomore, Junior, or Senior) who maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5\u00a0and finish the necessary course prerequisites are eligible for the internship program (if applicable). On request, as stated below, students will be required to present transcripts generated by the Registrar’s Office of their institution or university.<\/span>
\nNote: HRT now accepts some high school reporters and journalists<\/span><\/p>\n

Students are required to fill out an internship agreement form outlining their expectations as well as those of HRT and, if relevant, their college\/high school program instructor.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weekly student time\/activity reports, progress reports, and a final student report summarizing the performance during the internship period will all be needed from the students. Every message is private and goes into the student’s file. These reports’ information will help HRT make our<\/span> internship program<\/a> <\/span>a success.<\/span><\/p>\n

Expectations from each intern<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Upon admission, it is expected that each intern will devote a minimum of 7-10 (depending on position) hours per week to the program for the duration of one semester (approximately 8\u201310 weeks). The<\/span> HRT internship program<\/a> <\/span>runs from Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., unless the student and supervisor agree on something else. All students will be given a timetable depending on their availability and that of department managers, producers, marketing department, and project supervisors on-site.<\/span><\/p>\n
